APPLICATIONS
Description
Sandalwood is a name for a class of aromatic woods that, unlike other aromatic woods, can retain their fragrance for decades. Both wood and oil have been highly valued for centuries and sandalwood has a documented history of many applications. It was traditionally used as incense in religious ceremonies and to enhance meditation, and the Egyptians used sandalwood for embalming. Sandalwood oil is very beneficial for the skin; can help reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and promote a healthy, smooth complexion. Sandalwood oil has a sweet, woody scent that is often used in meditation for its base effects.
Uses
- For an at-home spa experience, fill a large container with boiling water, then apply a drop or two of sandalwood essential oil to your face and cover your head with a towel. Place your face on the steaming water. Your skin will feel nourished and rejuvenated.
- Apply a drop or two to wet hair to help restore moisture and give hair a silky shine.
- Inhale sandalwood directly from the palms of your hands or diffuse it to decrease tension and balance emotions.
Instructions for use
Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
Internal use: Dilute one drop in four fluid ounces of liquid.
Topical use: Apply one or two drops to the desired area. Dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize skin sensitivity.
Precautions
Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of the reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under the care of a physician, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ear, and sensitive areas.
